GENBUKAN NINPO
Ninpo is the ancient source of all traditional Japanese martial arts. It was perfected over the last 2000 years and continually updated to meet the needs of the modern world. It’s uniquely suitable for anyone one who wants to improve their life through the study of martial arts.
KJJR JUJUTSU
Traditional Jujutsu is not about competition. We don’t wrestle for long periods of time, because self-defense is decided very quickly in real-life. The attacker is always wrong, therefore the original Japanese Jujutsu techniques were inspired to efficiently help those who need it most. Our Jujutsu techniques include more than just how to take someone down. For hundreds of years this practical art has used punching, kicking, blocking, pressure points, etc. to escape from dangerous situations.
WEAPONS
“The sword is the mind, the mind is the sword…” This ancient quote explains very well the important reason to study traditional weapons in this day and age. In over 20 years of teaching, we’ve observed that many people have a critical lack of self-discipline.
Studying weapons in the proper way at the Genbukan Futen Dojo gives students a mental edge of focus and control that is simply not available any other way! This type of mind/body training and concentrated self-discipline has many benefits in all aspects of modern life.
Children’s Classes
For ages 8-13, our exclusive variety of martial-arts activities are truly unique.
They keep children excited and engaged.

The Genbukan & KJJR
In America, anybody can buy a black belt and open a martial arts school. However in Japan and many other countries, the regulations are much more strict and the standards much higher. – All of the instructors at the Genbukan Futen Dojo are internationally certified by two of most respected organizations in Japan: Genbukan World Ninpo Bugei Federation (genbukan = home of the martial arts professional) & Kokusai Jujutsu Renmei (kokusai = international, renmei = federation)
Headed by legendary Grandmaster Shoto Tanemura, both organizations have branches on the Asian, North American, South American, African and Australian continents offering the highest quality martial arts training available anywhere.
